In The News: Too much sitting, Starbucks and aspartame
I have read articles about too much sitting being bad, as well as some that claim standing for 8 hours a day would also have negative effects. Drinking lots of water as an excuse for a break? I’m not admitting to having thought of that before.
“Prolonged standing can lead to the development of musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the legs, knees and lower back. While you can stand for as long as it feels comfortable, most experts recommend a 50:50 sit-stand ration.”
What about the excercise ball chair? I know there’s one around spinal corrective center somewhere…
